Çayeli Bakır İşletmeleri has welcomed the Governor of Rize Mr. Bektaş in the field
Çayeli Bakır İşletmeleri, one of Turkey’s leading underground metal mines has welcomed the Governor of Rize, Mr.Erdoğan Bektaş. Mr.Bektaş, has examined the 600 meters-deep underground operations on-site. For its contributions to public service, Çayeli Bakır İşletmeleri have been awarded a plaque by Governor Bektaş.
Çayeli Bakır İşletmeleri (CBI), one of Turkey’s leading underground metal mines has welcomed the Governor of Rize, Mr.Erdoğan Bektaş in the field. CBI General Manager, Mr. Iain Anderson expressed gratitude for the courtesy visit and presented a miner’s helmet to commemorate the day.
Governor of Rize, Mr.Erdoğan Bektaş, has stated that he had been very content with the activities of the Çayeli Bakır İşletmeleri’ in Çayeli and added: “I’m pleased with Çayeli Bakır, because I hear that our community as well as Madenli and Çayeli municipalities are also very happy. Generally speaking, the expression of delight also pleases us.”
Governor Bektaş, who has examined the Çayeli Bakır İşletmeleri fields with a two hour long underground tour, has been informed hands-on about safe mining. Joining the local folkloric dance called “horon” accompanied by bagpipes named tulum, the Governor Bektaş had also been offered the local delight called “Pepeçura.” Observing on-site the remotely controlled equipment’s production activities, Mr.Bektaş had also been informed about the rescue chambers also known as life-pods afterwards.

CBI Iain Anderson whom had been very pleased to welcome Governor Bektaş at Çayeli Bakır İşletmeleri has expressed: “We, as Çayeli Bakır İşletmeleri, had been greatly honored to see today our Governor on-site. Our Governor, who has been encouraging the development of the mining sector in our province, is encouraging us miners. I would like to express my sincere appreciation.”
During the visit, Governor Bektaş was accompanied by Çayeli Deputy Governor İhsan Selim Baydaş, Mayor of Çayeli Atilla Esmen, Mayor of Madenli Necip Yazıcı, Provincial Health Director Mustafa Tepe, General Secretary of Public Hospitals Gökhan Demiral and Çayeli Commander of the Gendermarie Lieutenant Görkem Işıklar.
